||Complete and submit the application
||Sign and submit the Homestay Agreement form
at the end of the application.
||Provide two letters of reference, from non-family
sources, referring to stability of the home, character of the
family, and openness to people from other cultures. You may
attach electronic copies at the end of the application.
||Provide copies of Criminal Records Checks
for all residents of the home age 18 or over; or you may submit
a letter from an employer or volunteer organization to say that
the CRC has been done for their records. You may attach electronic
copies at the end of the application, or you may wait and send
them in at the time that we offer you a student.
||Once we have received your application we
will invite you to the next Homestay Parent Orientation meeting,
held about once a month, in the evening. You will be provided
with a Homestay Manual, either in paper or electronic format,
and we will review the contents with you.
||After you have attended an orientation meeting,
we will call to book a home visit to meet all of the residents
of the home and to view the student accommodations.
|Please note, after completing the first page (host information page), you have 60 minutes to fill out and submit each subsequent sections (i.e. other residents (60 minutes), accommodations (60 minutes), description & preferences (60 minutes)). If you are unable to do so within the specified timeframe and your application is not fully completed/submitted, you can login to the system and continue where you left off on the online application.
You can view and print a copy of all information you submitted after you complete the last section - the school information.
